THE OFFICIAL HOMEPAGE OF THE 22ND ANNUAL SIGMA ALPHA OMEGA® CONVENTION

Annual Meeting of Members
Chapter and Alumnae Association Delegation Requirement
Each active chapter is required to send two (2) delegates (voting representatives) to the Annual Meeting of Members (AMOM), which takes place the first Saturday of June during Convention. This requirement is due to Sigma Alpha Omega's status as a member-interest non-profit and is reflected in our sisterhood's National Policies for chapters to maintain an active charter. Each Delegate's Convention registration costs should be covered by the chapter's/association's own budget as providing delegates is a national requirement to maintain national chapter or association active charter status.
A delegate *MUST* be registered through MySAO.org for convention (this is not the Annual Report form!) to be recognized as a delegate by the National Organization and in physical attendance at the meeting for her chapter to receive credit. Chapters who are unable to attend may request a vote by ballot proxy from the National Board Secretary, secretary@sigmaalphaomega.org no later than May 20, 2026.
For information on how many Alumnae Delegates are allotted for this year based on active alumnae membership, please contact Ashleigh Crouch, alumnae@sigmaalphaomega.org.
Delegate Eligibility
-
All delegates MUST be available to participate in-person at the Annual Meeting of Members on Saturday, June 7, 2025 unless there are no others available from the chapter, in which case the chapter may select delegates to request to vote by ballot proxy no later than May 20, 2025 from the National Secretary, Madeline Morrow, secretary@sigmaalphaomega.org.
-
All delegates are REQUIRED to register for Convention and are expected to attend in full. Simply filling out the specification form/annual report form with the names and contact information of a chapter or association delegation is NOT registration for Convention.
-
Those who have graduated as of June 2026 and do not plan to return as enrolled sisters for Fall 2026 are ineligible to serve as a delegate for a chapter but may serve as one for the Alumnae Association.
-
Chapters: Fall 2026 Officers should have first priority as delegates if they are available; otherwise, a delegate may be a non-officer but she must plan to be an enrolled sister for Fall 2026.
-
National Alumnae Association: NAA delegates must each have alumna status as of the date of the Annual Meeting of Members.
-
Attendance at the President Roundtable and Delegate Orientation Call on Tuesday, April 21 at 9 p.m. Eastern on Google Meet requires at least one representative from each chapter to be present. Questions? Email Claire McAuliffe, xd@sigmaalphaomega.org, and Madeline Morrow, secretary@sigmaalphaomega.org.
Delegate v. General Member Attendance
The Annual Meeting of Members may be attended by any member of Sigma Alpha Omega, regardless of status, each year. However, only a Delegate is permitted to address the Presiding Officer and vote on behalf of her chapter or association. The Annual Meeting must take place on the first Saturday of June each year according to the Sigma Alpha Omega National Bylaws.
AMOM Preparations
We will NOT be streaming the Annual Meeting of the Members due to the opportunity last year having minimal attendance and quality challenges.

The National Trustee Applications and any Amendment Proposal will be available closer to Convention! The Delegate Packet (what delegates receive to have the agenda, what they are voting on, annual reports, etc) will be published closer to the AMOM. The last President Roundtable on Tuesday, April 21st at 9 p.m. Eastern will also serve as the Delegate Orientation. Information for the Google Meet is on the National Calendar and issued through the Chapter Monthly Email from Vice President of Mentors and will be featured in the Announcements in MySAO.org and the All-Member Quarterly Email from the National Secretary. Questions? Email Claire McAuliffe, xd@sigmaalphaomega.org, and Madeline Morrow, secretary@sigmaalphaomega.org.
Delegate Specification Form
All chapter and association accounts must submit the delegate specification form as only accessible in MySAO. This form is made available February 23, 2026 as "Annual Report & Delegate Specification Form" in MySAO and is due no later than April 14, 2026. Every chapter and association must specify its delegates in order to avoid discrepancies with convention registrations. Simply filling out the specification form with the names and contact information of a chapter or association delegation is NOT a registration for Convention. Delegates will be contacted at information provided in this form for preparation instructions for the Annual Meeting of Members along with information for the Delegate Orientation Call on Tuesday, April 21st at 9 p.m. Eastern. Questions? Email Claire McAuliffe, xd@sigmaalphaomega.org, and Madeline Morrow, secretary@sigmaalphaomega.org.
